Following the release of accessories for Insight from Honda Europe (earlier post), American Honda has now released a sneak peek at some of the accessories that will be available is U.S.
Accessories are far from an afterthought here at Honda. In fact, they are designed right along with the car. Our emphasis in the Accessories group is, “Fit, Finish, and Functionality.” Honda Genuine Accessories are designed specifically for Honda vehicles, providing a factory color match, factory-installed appearance and functionality tailored to each individual model.

As this highly anticipated new hybrid was being designed, our team brainstormed ideas for accessories and then considered how each one might affect mpg, price and weight. Keeping the goals of the Insight in mind, we only moved forward with choices that would not contradict the affordability and efficiency of the car. And of course we included some opportunities for personalization and fun, like the unique underbody spoiler.
