Top Gear has announced the Cars of the Year for 2008. Honda FCX Clarity was awarded the Green Car of the Year title with Top Gear commenting that "It has been called the most important car to come along since Karl Benz emerged from his shed in the Motorwagen. But it may be more than that".
Toyota's iQ has been characterised as "a milestone motor, in a different but no less significant vein to the Volkswagen Beetle or Fiat 600" and it was named Small Car of the Year.
